Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-24

No account, no login

You don't need to create an account or sign in to use this service. We don't collect your name, email, or any other identifying profile information.

What we actually store

Here's the complete, specific list - not a vague summary:

  • Your IP address, briefly. To enforce rate limits (so the service stays available and isn't abused), we count requests per IP address in Redis. Each counter automatically expires 60 seconds after it's created.
  • The TikTok video URL you submit, briefly. To serve repeated requests instantly instead of re-fetching from TikTok, we cache the extracted video metadata (title, thumbnail, download links) for 15 minutes, keyed by a hash of the URL - not linked to you or your IP address.

Neither of these is linked to a persistent identity, stored long-term, or used for anything beyond keeping the service fast and available. We don't currently use analytics, tracking cookies, or advertising of any kind.

What we don't do

  • We don't store the video files you download
  • We don't sell or share any data with third parties
  • We don't require or use tracking cookies
  • We don't build a profile of your activity over time

Third-party requests

When you request a download, our server contacts TikTok's own servers to resolve the video, and your browser then downloads the file directly. TikTok independently sets its own cookies and may log that request on its end under TikTok's own privacy policy - that's outside our control.

Error monitoring

If enabled by the site operator, unexpected server errors may be reported to an error monitoring service to help diagnose problems. This captures technical details about the error, not your browsing activity.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we'll update this page. Significant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
